Care Instructions
All our jewellery is made from either Sterling Silver, 18ct Gold Plate or 9ct Solid Gold. As these are precious metals they won’t ‘rust’ like costume jewellery, they aren’t going to leave a weird green mark and they have serious longevity, especially with our care tips.
Store your jewellery in a cool, dry place. Our free jewellery pouches (which come with every order) are perfect for this.
We would recommend removing jewellery when exercising and when you can avoid it coming into contact with liquids and chemicals. Showering, the sea, the pool, cleaning, can all dull the colour of your jewellery.
To give your jewellery a quick freshen up we suggest cleaning with a soft, lint-free cloth or, for extra sparkle power, a gold polishing cloth. But be gentle, avoid rubbing, as this will bring the gold plate off your piece.
Over time, it's normal for Gold Plate jewellery to experience some signs of aging, meaning the gold layer can wear off and reveal the Sterling Silver underneath. But don’t worry! Our FREE Re-Plating Service will restore your Seol + Gold jewellery's original sparkle and shine.

Know Your Metals
It can be confusing in the world of jewellery to know what metal is best for you and what it's made of, so we thought we'd break down the only three metal types that all of our jewellery is made from. Plus some handy hints and tips for keeping your jewellery looking fresh and lasting for years to come.
9ct Solid Gold
Gold has different purity depending on the carat, so 24ct gold is pure gold which is a very soft metal and not durable for jewellery. Our 9ct Solid Gold is 37.5% gold, then 62.5% of a different metal such as copper or silver to strengthen it or give it colour - ours is all nickel, lead and cadmium free. Our 9ct Solid Gold will have a tiny 375 stamp on it.
18ct Gold Plated
Gold plated jewellery offers the luxurious look and feel of Solid Gold at a much more accessible price. Each piece features a layer of real gold over high-quality Sterling Silver (so no costume or mysterious base metals in our jewellery). We don't use any nickel, cadmium or lead in our jewellery as these alloys can irritate the skin and cause reactions.
Sterling Silver
Sterling Silver is made from 92.5% pure silver. Why do we use Sterling Silver instead of pure silver (99.9%)? Pure silver is too soft for most jewellery, which is why the alloy is added to strengthen it. There will be a tiny 925 stamped on our silver jewellery.
